WHERE IT BEGAN
The world got very good at predicting what we'd want before we knew we wanted it. Feeds that know us too well. Ads that finish our sentences. Somewhere along the way, we lost the joy of finding something by
accident.
The Corner Store is our answer to that. A small, slightly chaotic shop full of things you didn't know you needed until you saw them.
Nothing here is churned out in bulk. Every piece is built up one layer at a time, then wrapped with care and sent your way.
We're not trying to be the biggest shop on the internet. We just want to be the one you pop into when the week has been long, when you fancy a little treat, or simply to see what's new on the shelf.
HOW IT'S MADE
Nothing on our shelves starts life on a factory line. Every piece begins as a small idea, then slowly takes shape on the printer, right here in the workshop. It takes longer than the usual way of doing things. We think that's rather the point.
Once a piece comes off the printer, we look it over by hand, wrap it up carefully and send it on its way to its new home.
WHO ARE WE
Since you scrolled this far, here's the bit you actually clicked through for.
We're just two people, who are still not entirely sure how taxes work, mostly trying to get through life in this economy. The usual work grind, the never-ending bills, and more TV and doomscrolling than we'd like to admit.
The real reason The Corner Store exists is Abby. Watching her live her best life, no deadlines, no responsibilities, just naps, belly rubs and zoomies, made us think we should probably try living a bit more like her. So we started this place, partly to have a corner of our own, partly because she showed us how it's done.
She's a golden retriever who has never paid rent, never helped with the dishes and has strong opinions about none of our decisions except dinner time. Her only real skill is being unbearably cute, and having a tail that never tires of wagging. Our perpetual side quest is to figure out how to generate electricity from her tail wags. There's a way for sure, we just haven't found it yet.
